Men of the Scarlet and Gray Podcast Bosa Is Not Top 8 Draft Pick

This week Ryan Rosko an editor for factoryofsadness.co joins us to discuss the Ohio State
Buckeyes in the draft along with the Cleveland Browns.

We discuss that Ryan doesn’t feel Joey Bosa is a Top 8 draft
pick. The reasons why the Cleveland Browns need to stay away from
Cardale Jones. Can the Buckeyes get 6 players drafted in the first
round of the NFL Draft to tie Miami who set the record in
2004. There was also talk about Eli Apple to the Steelers.

Chip gave us his wish list of the Browns picking Michael Thomas
and Nick Vannett along with giving Chase Farris a shot. Shannon
gives his dream scenario of the Browns drafting Joey Bosa, Michael
Thomas and Cardale Jones. Ryan wishes the Browns don’t trade out of
the 8th spot and taking Ezekiel Elliott.

Men of the Scarlet and Gray Podcast Clair Crawford Tells Us Her Spring Game Experiences

Clair Crawford joins us to help dissect the Ohio State Spring Game. We discuss the players that stood out to us along with if there should be any worry about J.T. Barrett.

What all did we learn if anything from the Scarlet and Gray game. We also dove into the record size crowd of 100,189 and some of the festivities.

I included the Urban Meyer Spring Game press conference for our fans to enjoy.

We want to thank Clair for joining us and please give her a follow on twitter at @buckeyeclair and don’t forget to listen to her and Joe Dexter on Script Ohio on buckeyesportsradio it really is a great show and Clair and Joe really knock it’s out of the park every Monday through Friday.

Men of the Scarlet and Gray Podcast with Stanley Jackson

Chip Minnich and I had the privilege of getting with Big Ten Network analyst and former Buckeye quarterback Stanley Jackson to talk some Buckeye football. We discussed the upcoming Spring Game, NCAA ban on satellite camps, Cardale Jones ripping the NCAA.

We played a tribute for former Buckeye and New Orleans Saint great Will Smith. Tyler Bishop (@tyler123B1) put together a great youtube video honoring the former defensive lineman that was tragically taken away recently. Stanley gave us his thoughts on the tragedy as well.

It was great discussing with Stanley what the Buckeyes key areas to watch are, what its like as a player to get ready for the Spring Game, we also kind of talked about who at this time (which is early) might be a front-runner for the Big Ten.

You can follow Stanley Jackson on twitter @jacksonville8. We want to thank him again for taking the time out and joining us. We also want to thank our listeners.

Men of the Scarlet and Gray Podcast Spring Ball

Spring is in the air and Ohio State football is back, well sort of. Being cooped up for months in a mild winter we finally get to start talking about our favorite football team.

I get with my co-host Chip Minnich and our special guest Chuck Strawn of thebuckeyebattlecry.com fame to discuss Buckeye football.

We discuss the Harbaugh khaki pants in a bunch issue that recently happened along with the who and the what we are looking forward to for the upcoming Spring Game. Six practices in and we finally get to discuss what we feel will be the group or groups to keep an eye on for Spring Game. We also discuss our picks for possible impact true freshman for the upcoming season.

As always its a fun time to get to talk Buckeye football with Chip and throw a little Chuck in there and major knowledge dropped with lots of humor.

Men of the Scarlet and Gray Podcast National Signing Day Recap

The Ohio State Buckeyes came away from National Signing Day with another top recruiting class in the nation. Myself along with Chip discuss it along with our special guest from Script Ohio Joe Dexter.

The three of us sit down to talk about our initial thoughts on the new class of Buckeyes that will be playing in Columbus. We picked a specific group that stood out to us. We tried to talk about what specific players we will be keeping our eyes on along with our sleeper picks for impact players for this next season.

We ask if we felt if there were any disappointments and well since this isn’t Ann Arbor we play in naturally we had positive things to say. We wrapped up the insanity with talk of the Browns and the State of Ohio trying to pull a fast one on Ohio taxpayers, Detroit Lions all while Joe was in the closet. Have to listen to understand what all went down.

Want to thank Joe Dexter who you can hear on Buckeye Sports Radio Monday through Friday with his awesome co-host Clair Crawford. You can check out Joe’s work over at thebuckeyebattlecry.com/

Men of the Scarlet and Gray Podcast Fiesta Champions

I reminisce with Chip Minnich about the Desert showdown that was the Fiesta Bowl on New Years day. We give a little recap about the game versus Notre Dame, offensive and defensive players of the game, we even touched on the targeting call made against Joey Bosa.

Chip and I discuss some of the juniors leaving early for the NFL (at the time of the recording Vonn Bell had not declared but has since). Nine underclassmen are putting the Scarlet and Gray down to join the big boys in the NFL. We also talk about defensive coordinator change with Chris Ash going to Rutgers and Greg Schiano now the Buckeyes new co-defensive coordinator.

We also give our prediction of who might be the winner of the national championship game coming up between Alabama and Clemson.

Men of The Scarlet and Gray Podcast Fiesta in the Desert

Ohio State and Notre Dame are about to face off on New Years in the Fiesta Bowl. Who else better to discuss this match-up than with Tony Gerdeman from theozone.net. We discuss the suspensions, Buckeyes offense, play calling, defense and match-ups we are going to be keeping an eye on.

We also discussed with Tony his book Thrillogy which recaps the last three games of the amazing run to the National Championship last season. It is a must have for Buckeye fans and as we discuss the book you will see there is a theme involved that you really didn’t realize until they started putting the book together

As always we answered #AskMotSaG questions and gave our predictions for the Fiesta Bowl.

Men of the Scarlet and Gray Big Ten Bowl Game Predictions

Chip and I are back!! This week we discuss Ohio State getting a New Year Six Bowl. Buckeyes will be heading to the desert to face Notre Dame a rematch of 2006. We don’t break down the game this week (that will be coming up shortly), but we do discuss how the Buckeyes got into the Fiesta Bowl. We also discuss the Adolphus Washington suspension and what it could mean for the Buckeyes against the Fighting Irish.

We did our MotSaG Pick’Em segment and this week it’s all about the Big Ten teams and which bowls they will be playing in. We discuss the reason Nebraska and Minnesota were able to get bowls this year with a losing record. Naturally we had our #AskMotSaG segment with a couple of questions this week and we briefly discussed Star Wars. We want to thank You all again for listening and helping us grow, what our awesome listening audience has meant to us this year just cannot be said in enough words about how appreciative we are for each and every one of you.

Men of the Scarlet and Gray Podcast Welcome Home Harbaugh

The 2015 college football regular season is officially over. Chip and I discuss the whooping that sent the Maize and Blue fans running in the daylight. We talked about how the rushing attack of Ohio State was not going to get stopped. We discussed the Buckeye players who have taken Big Ten awards home for this season.

We break down the current college football playoff rankings and the possible scenarios that will allow the Buckeyes who are on life support to get their foot back into the playoffs.

We also answer #AskMotSaG questions from our wonderful listeners. This has been such a great ride, even though the regular season is over for college football it doesn’t mean the end. As we wait to hear Ohio States possible destination next week we wanted to let you know the Men of the Scarlet and Gray Podcast will continue all year and as best as possible. We will have basketball shows weekly and still do football with hopefully some wonderful guests in the future.

Men of the Scarlet and Gray Podcast The Game Edition

Chip and I recap (autopsied) That Michigan State game along with fan behavior, which seems more and more Buckeye fans are getting out of hand acting like Penn State fans. We also did our weekly #AskMotSag and MotSaG Pick’Em segments.

We went over to the Darkside to talk about TUN and The Game. Anthony Broome from maizenbrew.com along with David Mormino from TheBigHouseReport.com got to hang out with the cool kids that enjoy the Scarlet and Gray. We fist pay tribute to Chad Carr, the grandson of former Wolverine head coach who just recently passed away from cancer. This rivalry means so much that this young child became a part of Buckeye Nation and we are right there weeping with the Carr family.

Anthony and David we gracious enough to try and help us understand how to recover from a loss. Been so long for the Buckeye’s you forget how to cope with it, who better to turn to right. We actually did discuss the maize and Blue football team and gave our predictions on who would win. Let’s just say it was unanimous.

You should follow Anthony Broome on twitter @anthonytbroome and David Mormino @davidmomino. Even for being fans/bloggers/writers for TUN they really are great guys and always a blast having them on the show.
