From Rejection to Redemption: How The Big Ten National Narrative Flipped In Four Months

Bucks Win Sugar Bowl

Four long months ago I wrote this about the Big Ten:

The Big Ten sucks. It’s weak and simply can’t compete with the SEC and other top teams around the country. They always choke in the biggest of games. As a fan of the Buckeyes or any other Big Ten team, this is what you’ve been hearing from the national media ever since the Buckeyes got shellacked by the Florida Gators in the 2006 National Championship game. Things have progressively gotten worse since then for the entire conference. ESPN and all of the other major outlets continue to hype conference pride year in and year out.

It’s amazing how quickly things change. And it was one huge day on January 1, 2015 that punctuated the Big Ten’s rise from the dead. Before we get to that though let’s backtrack to what I said back in September 2014. I talked about the national narrative concerning the Big Ten, SEC dominance and how it was a bunch of baloney. I could sit there and cry foul all I wanted, but as I said in the article all that mattered in college football was winning. It’s what earns everyone’s respect. You can talk all you want, but you have to walk the walk on the field if you want respect. Regarding my point about conference pride, here’s what I said it came down to:

You know what conference pride is based on? The best teams in the conference. You’re only as good as your best teams. That’s why the SEC is anointed the king of college football every single season. When people look at the SEC, they don’t look at Tennessee, Kentucky and Vanderbilt. They’re looking at Alabama, LSU, Florida, Texas A&M, Auburn and Georgia. If the majority of these teams have a good season, then the SEC is having a good season. So why are national writers and experts pointing out Purdue, Illinois and Indiana being bad programs when looking at the Big Ten? Those programs have never been world beaters. They’re happy with 7-9 wins. They aren’t expected to compete for national titles.

When it comes to the Big Ten, there are six teams I view as the faces of the conference right now. Those teams are Ohio State, Michigan State, Michigan, Penn State, Nebraska and Wisconsin. These six teams have to get it done or the Big Ten is looked down upon.

Four months later let’s take a look at the faces of these conferences. Three of the six teams I declared the faces of the SEC lost their bowl games. Florida fired their coach. Georgia lost to Florida. Both Mississippi schools lost in spectacular fashion in their marquee matchups. For the first time since 2005 an SEC team will not play for the national championship. The last marquee win in the postseason for the SEC was 2013 against Notre Dame in the national title game. Two years in a row the conference has lost their biggest games. I think it’s safe to say that the SEC is no longer head and shoulders above everyone else.

Of course it’s just not about what the SEC has done lately. Let’s look at the Big Ten’s top six teams. I specifically called out Wisconsin, Michigan and Nebraska in September for not having good enough head coaching. Where are those head coaches now? Gary Andersen fled Wisconsin after suffering a humiliating loss in the Big Ten Championship game to Ohio State. Nebraska fired Bo Pelini after delivering another just solid season. I said they wouldn’t have the guts to do this and they proved me wrong. We’ll see if Mike Riley can take them to the next level. And then there’s Michigan who fired Brady Hoke after another disappointing season. This is where the Big Ten’s redemption story begins.

Last week after many weeks of speculation, the Wolverines went out and got themselves a national championship caliber coach in Jim Harbaugh. As a Buckeye fans my reaction to this: It’s about damn time. What took so long to get a great coach? Now that Michigan has a great coach their rebuilding process can begin. The Big Ten now how has four coaches I truly believe are capable of winning a national championship, along with Meyer, Dantonio and Franklin (Chryst and Riley could become capable). The Big Ten East could become one of the best divisions in college football with the amount of star power at the coaching positions. Speaking of that Penn State silently defeated Boston College in the Pinstripe Bowl, leading to head coach James Franklin delivering a fiery speech in the post game proclaiming how great a victory it was for the program in their return to the postseason.

This leads us to the huge day for the Big Ten. It started when Wisconsin, led by Badger legend Barry Alvarez, shocked Auburn in overtime to win the Outback Bowl. The Badgers, coming off a 59-0 loss in the Big Ten Championship game, beat a Tiger team that many believed to be one of the best teams in the country for a majority of the season. After losing so much in the postseason the last five years and after having to hire yet another new head coach, it was a sweet victory for the program. Next year they start the Paul Chryst era in Madison and I think he’s a perfect fit for them. Chryst understands Wisconsin football perfectly and don’t be surprised if they return to Indianapolis next season.

Michigan State followed the Badgers by pulling out a thrilling come-from-behind victory against Baylor in the Cotton Bowl. The Spartans were down three touchdowns late in the game and stormed back on a thrilling blocked field goal and a touchdown with mere seconds left in the game. Dantonio and the Spartans finish the season with 11 wins once again. Their only two losses were to the two teams that are going to play for the national championship on January 12. Needless to say there’s a pretty fantastic football program residing in East Lansing.

The biggest win for the Big Ten then came in the Sugar Bowl National Semifinals when the Ohio State Buckeyes beat the Alabama Crimson Tide 42-35 to advance to national championship game for the first time in seven years. As everyone saw New Year’s night, it wasn’t a fluke or miracle. The Buckeyes were simply a better team in all phases of the game. There was no question that the Buckeyes had “SEC speed.” Ezekiel Elliott rushed for over 200 yards, something no running back had ever done to a Nick Saban-coached Alabama team. Cardale Jones, who was a third-string quarterback in August, threw long third down passes against the Tide defense with ease. The Buckeye’s defensive line harassed Blake Sims all night long. It was the victory Buckeye fans have been salivating to get for years.

In the span of four months the Big Ten went from rock bottom to the top, something none of us expected. As I said months ago I was just hoping the conference could do something to salvage its reputation. Now it has done more than that. It’s changed the national narrative completely. Yesterday the SEC was king. Today the Big Ten is the re-born hero. It’s amazing how a story can go from a nightmare to a dream come true.

The Big Ten’s teams went out and did what they had to do. Hollywood itself couldn’t have scripted a better comeback for the Buckeyes and the Big Ten. In the words of Drake: “Started from the bottom, now we’re here.”

2015 NFL Mock Draft Part 1

With the regular season of college football over it is time to dig into the next step for these players, the NFL Draft. This mock draft will not include trades because each team values their pick individually. This will be a 3 part series, this post will include the top 10 picks. I have not decided how many picks will be in the next two posts. This will be an updated series all the way up to the Draft starts. While all the picks will be based off my own thoughts, opinions, and what I have seen on tape. I will also be taking some information from Todd McShay and Mel Kiper because they are able to gather more information and have more resources than I. When reading you will see that I will include my pick, as well as Kiper and McShay’s pick. All picks are based off of the standings going into week 15. Also, Jameis Winston will not be included in this draft because said he would not declare until at least the 2016 draft. If he changes his mind picks will be updated.

1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon

Mariota is a tremendous athlete. I really like the style of Oregon’s offense translating to the NFL. The NFL is so much faster than college football as we all know. The speed at which Oregon runs their offense will help Mariota translate well, also with Oregon’s offense being so fast Mariota has to process information quicker than most QB prospects. With a future stud in Mike Evans and a veteran WR in Vincent Jackson this could help him go along way in development.

McShay: Mariota

2. Tennessee Titans: Leonard Williams, DE/DT, USC

To me the Titans need to upgrade talent in general. I feel Williams is the most NFL ready on the defensive side of the ball. I feel Tennessee will upgrade on defense because teams seemed to run all over the Titans this season. If your defense is not able to get stops then your offense is not able to get into a rhythm. I feel Leonard has the physical tools and the motor to be a good NFL player.

McShay: Jameis Winston

3. Jacksonville Jaguars: Randy Gregory, OLB/DE, Nebraska

I really like Gregory’s physical tools. He had a good season for Nebraska. I feel that Jacksonville is trying to mimic what Seattle has done, and that is build the defense and let the offense come along. Jacksonville’s defense was a lot better than their record shows and I look for them to keep adding to the defensive side of the ball.

McShay: Leonard Williams

4. Oakland Raiders: Amari Cooper. WR, Alabama

Cooper is a pure play maker and if he were a few inches taller I would not be surprised him going first overall and the Bucs try and move Jackson. The Raiders need someone for Carr to throw the ball too. The best way to evaluate a QB is to surround him with talented guys. If there was an elite LT prospect I think that is where the Raiders would go, but you cannot afford to let Cooper go.

McShay: Randy Gregory

5. Washington Redskins: Shane Ray, DE, Missouri

Before the season I did not even know who Shane Ray was. As I did research and read what McShay and Kiper had to say about Ray. I immediately went to the tapes and realized how good this guy was in the SEC. He was the most impressive player last season, after watching the film, that included Ealy and Michael Sam. The only concern I have is that Ray is only 6’2″ 240 pounds. That is not to say undersized guys cannot be successful in the NFL. It just gets me worried with the Redskins because they have had a lack of successful DE’s staying healthy.

McShay: Shane Ray

6. New York Jets: Devin Funchess, WR/TE, Michigan

I think this pick varies on so many things. Whether Ryan stays as the HC, does the GM stay? If the GM stays then I believe the Jets could be in place to move up to grab Cooper. If the Jets fail to do that then Funchess to me seems like the best choice. if the Jets would not have drafted Pryor in the first round then they would take Collins. The Jets need to add as much talent on offense as they can. With Funchess having so much versatility this is the best chance foe the Jets to upgrade and help Smith or Vick at QB.

McShay: Amari Cooper

7.  Atlanta Falcons: Brandon Scherff, OT, Iowa

This pick varies on so many things it is hard to decide what to do with this pick. I feel the best thing for the Falcons is to reach on Scherff and help keep Matt Ryan up right. The beauty about this pick is it is low risk high reward. While Scherff needs to work on his pass blocking, McShay and Kiper both feel like if he is moved to OG he could be a dominate player. I feel like if I am the Falcons I am willing to take this high of a pick in hopes Scherff becomes a good RT or move him to LG and let Matthews and Scherff dominate on the left side.

McShay: Dante Fowler Jr.

8. New York Giants: Vic Beasley, DE/OLB, Clemson

The Giants are put into a tough spot here. If they are able to sign JPP before the draft, then they consider taking Cedric Ogbuehi. Based off what I feel JPP will want and what the Giants will be willing to pay will not even be close and the Giants draft Beasley who would probably play SLB, as McShay feels, and then be a pass rusher when need be. I agree with that statement.

McShay: Vic Beasley

9. Chicago Bears: Landon Collins, S, Alabama

As a Bears fan I wish they would of taken Clinton-Dix last season because the defense is just in so much trouble. Collins is the answer to prayer for the Bears defense and will help out tremendously. Collins has a good build and can cover well, also is a good tackler. When you play in a division that has explosive offenses, like Detroit and Green Bay, the Bears need to upgrade the secondary.

McShay: Landon Collins

10. Carolina Panthers: Cedric Ogbuehi, OT, Texas A&M

The Panthers are really hoping that the Giants and Falcons take an OT. The Panthers really need to upgrade the OL. Ogbuehi is a really good athlete for his size. I think that the lack of success that Texas A&M had at the QB position effected his performance this year and he could be the first OT off the board.  Ogbuehi would be a good answer at RT for the Panthers and really give them an answer at that position.

McShay: Brandon Scherff

Class OF 2015: The Offensive Lineman

Now that the 2015 recruiting class (#Elite15) is about to come to a close, it is time to take a look back at which offensive linemen the Buckeyes landed this year. As we all know, O-Line Coach Ed Warriner has done an outstanding job developing his young linemen into stars. Ohio State had to replace four offensive linemen after last season (3 of which are now starting in the NFL) which is no easy task for the best coaches or teams. But yet they still earned a playoff berth which is in large part due to how Warriner was able to get the buffet busters up front ready. As of right now, he is still a coach for the Buckeyes despite rumors that he was accepting the Head Coaching position at Kansas. Now let’s take a look at the five linemen that will be attending school at The Ohio State University.

Grant Schmidt

The 3 star Tackle from Sioux Falls, South Dakota was one of the first members of the Elite15 as he committed in June of this year. According to 247 Sports, he is the 54th best Offensive Tackle in the nation. Schmidt will also be the first player from South Dakota to be a Buckeye. Measuring in at 6’6” and 275 pounds he has the height to protect our Quarterback’s blindside. Once he arrives in Columbus I expect him to put on at least 30 pounds of muscle (thanks, Coach Mick). Schmidt also considered Minnesota and Washington State before selecting the Buckeyes.

Kevin Feder

The Ramsey, New Jersey prospect is one of the under the radar guys I am most excited about for the incoming class. He stands with a huge frame at 6’9” and weighs in at 305 pounds which is just huge for any football player in general. Feder is a 3 star Offensive Tackle and rated as the 55th best OT in the country while being the 12th best player in the Garden State. Offered by such heavyweights like Tennessee, Miami, and even Michigan State (recruited by Narduzzi) it was a great get by Warriner & Co.

Matthew Burrell

The gem of the 2015 O-Line class has to be 4 star (darn close to 5 in my opinion) Offensive Tackle Matthew Burrell from Woodbridge, Virginia. He was recruited very hard by both Larry Johnson and Ed Warriner for the past year and finally committed about a month ago. Burrell is a top 100 player according to 247 Sports while being the 5th best OG in the nation. Penn State, Florida and Florida State were also in the running for his talents. He was also invited to The Opening which is a four day Nike event for top high school players held in Oregon. Burrell will participate in the Army All-American Bowl on January 3rd with other Buckeye commits Jerome Baker, Torrance Gibson, Justin Hilliard, Dre’Mont Jones, Liam McCullough, and Mike Weber.

Branden Bowen

Another underrated prospect Warriner gobbled up in late November was Branden Bowen from Draper, Utah. The 6’7” 330 pound Tackle is ranked as the 87th best in the country and the 8th best player in the state. Once committed to Utah, Urban Meyer and Ed Warriner were able to pull out their spatula for the flip. Bowen visited for the Illinois game on November 1st and was on commitment watch from that moment on- eventually committing 3 weeks later. Make no mistake, Bowen has the size to be an NFL prospect and I expect Warriner to develop him into that.

Mirko Jurkovic

The 3 star player from South Bend, Indiana (Notre Dame’s backyard) was the fifth and most likely final offensive linemen taken by the Buckeyes for the 2015 class. Ranked as the 51st best OG in the country, the potential is certainly there for good production. It was an Ohio State-Nebraska battle but his visit to Columbus for the Michigan game all but sealed it and he committed a week later.

As long as Ed Warriner is coaching football at The Ohio State University, I have full faith that the linemen we get will all be given the skills to succeed.

Report: Tom Herman Set To Become New Head Coach at Houston (Updated)

tom herman

As reported by Fox Sports, Ohio State’s quarterback guru and offensive coordinator Tom Herman is set to become the new head coach of the Houston Cougars. From Bruce Feldman’s report:

The 39-year-old Herman has solid Texas ties. He served as a graduate assistant on Mack Brown’s UT staff in the late 90s and worked across town from Houston as Rice’s OC from 2007-08, where the Owls set more than 40 school records. He has been instrumental in landing some plum Texas recruits for the Buckeyes in his three seasons on staff, including Barrett.

Herman’s rep is such that when Houston president Renu Khator tweeted out on Friday, “If you have an opinion about next UH Football Coach, now is the time to tell us,” the overwhelming reaction she got back were calls for the Buckeyes OC.

It’s not a surprising move considering Herman has been one of the hottest names on the coaching market in recent weeks. This season has really raised his stock after transforming Braxton Miller’s replacement J.T. Barrett into one of the best quarterbacks in the country. Not only that, but he also well prepared Cardale Jones and the Buckeye offense for the Big Ten Championship game on short notice after Barrett went down with an injury too. The Buckeyes of course destroyed Wisconsin 59-0 and was the huge win they needed to make the very first college football playoffs at the FBS level.

There is no word yet on whether Herman will stay with the Buckeyes during their playoff run. Regardless I think I speak for everyone in Buckeye Nation in wishing Tom Herman and his family the best of luck in Houston.

UPDATE: According to Pat Forde of Yahoo, Tom Herman will stay with the Buckeyes through the college football playoffs.

MotSaG Live Episode #17 – Bowl Mania & The Playoffs

It’s time for Bowl Mania! MotSaG writers Josh, Shannon and Chip along with their special returning guest Kevin McGuire broke down and picked the Big Ten bowl games, the New Year’s bowls and of course made their predictions on the first ever FBS college football playoffs. By the way you can check out Kevin’s work at collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com and follow him on Twitter: @KevinonCFB. They’re a little more optimistic on the Big Ten in their bowl games than Vegas is. Two of the four chose Ohio State as the national champion, while the other two chose Alabama. Also somebody made peace with Tim Beckman. Sort of.

Buckeyes Sugar Bowl Uniforms Unveiled

As you can see the uniforms are amazing and typically awesome considering OSUs colors.

Predicting Every Single FBS College Football Game: Week 15

Record in Week 14: 39-22 (63.93% of games predicted correctly) To see my picks for week 14, click here.

Overall Record for the Season: 588-242

Picking games for rivalry week sucks. These games are even harder than normal to predict because even the lowliest teams can rise up and knock off their better on paper rival. That’s the beauty of rivalry games and makes it great for the fans. For pickers it’s impossible. 63% is lower than my average for the season, but I’m actually pretty happy with this percentage. Heading into Saturday I was under .500 on my picks! This week there are only a handful of regular season games left along with conference championship games. Out of every week in the season, this is my best chance to have a perfect weekend of picks. In addition I’m also picking the Army-Navy game, even though it’s not until next week. Let’s hope I pick them better this week!

B1G Weekly Recap: Wisconsin Takes West, Sets Up Showdown With OSU In Indy

Wisconsin had to come from behind again this week to beat Minnesota and earn their berth to the Big Ten Championship Game this weekend in Indianapolis. They will meet Ohio State, who will turn to Cardale Jones at quarterback after losing J.T. Barrett for the season. Nebraska beat Iowa in their rivalry game, but it wasn’t enough to save Bo Pelini’s job as he was let go on Sunday. Illinois became bowl eligible at the expense of their in-state rivals, Northwestern, while Indiana, Michigan State, and Rutgers also earned victories in the final games of the regular season.

Nebraska 37, Iowa 34 (OT)

Tommy Armstrong Jr. led the way for Nebraska as they completed one of their biggest comebacks in history. The Cornhuskers trailed 24-7 midway through the third quarter before staging their comeback. De’Mornay Pierson-El gave Nebraska the 28-24 lead early in the fourth quarter but the Cornhuskers still needed a Drew Brown field goal to send the game to overtime after Jake Rudock found Jordan Canzeri in the endzone with less than two minutes to play.

Iowa kicked a field goal on their only possession of overtime and Nebraska responded with a game-winning touchdown pass from Armstrong to Kenny Bell. Nebraska ends the regular season at 9-3, Iowa at 7-5, and both teams will await their assignments for bowl season.

Ohio State 42, That Team Up North 28

Ohio State took care of business against their rivals in a game that was too close for too long in the minds of many. The Buckeyes finally pulled away in the fourth quarter, but only after losing their star quarterback. A 45-yard touchdown run on 4th-and-1 by Ezekiel Elliott followed up by a Darron Lee fumble return for a touchdown sealed the deal for the Buckeyes, earning Urban Meyer his third victory in as many tries over the Wolverines.

Elliott finished with 121 yards and two touchdowns while J.T. Barrett ran for two as well to go along with a passing touchdown to Nick Vannett that set the Big Ten record for touchdowns in a season, besting Drew Brees’ old mark. The Wolverines will sit out bowl season after finishing 5-7 but the Buckeyes move on to Indianapolis with a spot in the College Football Playoff still on the radar.

Illinois 47, Northwestern 33

Both teams came into this rivalry game at 5-6, with the winner getting the prize of extending their season and going to a bowl game. Reilly O’Toole was the star of the show for the Illini, throwing for 147 yards and three scores while running for 147 more. Josh Ferguson added 95 yards and two TDs on the ground as Illinois became bowl eligible for the first time since 2011.

Freshman running back Justin Jackson led the attack for the Wildcats, rushing for 130 yards and two touchdowns. Zack Oliver was starting in place of the injured Trevor Siemian and turned the ball over five times in the defeat.

Indiana 23, Purdue 16

Tevin Coleman shouldered most of the load as usual when Indiana took on Purdue in their battle for the Old Oaken Bucket but it was freshman quarterback Zander Diamont that was the hero with his game-winning 1-yard touchdown run with less than a minute to play. Coleman ran for 130 yards, increasing his season total to 2,036 yards and becoming the first Hoosier to hit the 2,000-yard mark rushing the football.

Akeem Hunt was the lone bright spot for the Boilermakers, rushing the ball for 171 yards and their only score of the game. Purdue ends up 3-9, Indiana finishes 4-8, and neither will be going bowling (unless at the local alley) this offseason.

Michigan State 34, Penn State 10

Michigan State coasted to another easy victory, this time dismantling Penn State in Happy Valley on Senior Day. The Spartans took the opening kick back for six points and never looked back. Jeremy Langford had himself a day, rushing for 118 yards and two touchdowns as Michigan State moved to 10-2 and are likely looking at a bid in one of the top six bowl games on New Year’s Day.

Sam Ficken set a Penn State record with his 23rd field goal of the season when he knocked in a 41-yarder in the second quarter. Christian Hackenberg was unimpressive again, completing just 21-45 passes for 195 yards and no touchdowns. The Nittany Lions fall to 6-6 and await their fate for bowl season.

Wisconsin 34, Minnesota 24

Minnesota took a 17-3 lead early in the second quarter, but Wisconsin would rattle off the next 24 points to take control of the game and clinch their spot in the Big Ten Championship Game. Melvin Gordon finished with 151 yards rushing, pushing his season total up to a Big Ten record 2,260.

David Cobb was the anchor of the Minnesota offense, rushing the ball 25 times for 118 yards and a touchdown. Mitch Leidner also ran for two scores and added 54 yards of his own on the ground. The Golden Gophers fall to 8-4 but will look to salvage their season with a bowl victory.

Rutgers 41, Maryland 38

Maryland let a 25 point lead slip away and fell to Rutgers in their first matchup as conference rivals. C.J. Brown threw for 195 yards and two TDs and ran for 107 and another score but it wasn’t enough as the Terraping collapsed in the second half at home.

Gary Nova led the comeback for the Scarlet Knights, passing for 347 yards and four scores with no interceptions. Kyle Federico hit the game-winning field goal for Rutgers from 25 yards out with just over six minutes to play. The result left both teams at 7-5 on the season as they will now wait for their bowl assignments.

What did you think of the last week of the regular season in Big Ten play? Will the Buckeyes be able to overcome the loss of J.T. Barrett to defeat Wisconsin? Or will Melvin Gordon and the Badger rushing attack be too much for Ohio State to handle? Let us know your favorite moment of the Big Ten season below!

This will also be the last week of the season for several programs. It’s getting down to crunch time! Negabuck- No Pity for Michigan

Coming off another sometimes impressive/sometimes horrendous win against a very pedestrian Indiana squad, the Buckeyes fix their focus to the final game of the regular season against Michigan.

Indiana is a team that really sucks but they are a different kind of suck than most other sucks.

Their quarterback couldn’t throw a pass further than 20 yards down the field but they have arguably two of the best playmakers in the conference in Tevin Coleman and Shane Wynn-two guys who can turn any crease into 6 points. These two burned the Buckeye defense on Saturday a few times and kept the game close from an offensive side.  SEC East leader Missouri learned this the hard way as well.

Indiana’s defense was given three gift turnovers and the outmatched Hoosiers played about as well as they could have, all things considered.

The Buckeyes look as good as any team in the nation when things are going smoothly but turnovers are turning into an alarming issue. If Ohio State continues in this giving mood they will be in trouble in every game the rest of the season- yes even this Saturday.

Growing up a 90’s kid, I have learned to never sleep on any Michigan team, no matter the year. So forgive me if I am not feeling sorry for the Michigan team and fans during another disappointing campaign in 2014 and neither should you.

I’m not feeling as much of the awesome hate that usually comes this time of year and this is because human nature is to not kick a horse while he’s down. Brady Hoke is a lame duck and will probably be coaching his last game for the pee and blue on Saturday and many Buckeye fans are sleepily going through this week looking forward to the Big Ten Championship Game.

Well I say not only should you kick this horse while they lay dying, but you should also elbow drop this horse to hell…

Here are ten reminders to get your blood boiling about that poopy school to the north:

10.  1996-

The first vivid memory in my tiny little Buckeye brain is of the heartbreaking season finale of the 96 Rose Bowl year. Ohio State was up 9-0 at the half and didn’t score again while losing to a Michigan team that finished 8-4.

Ohio State finished 2nd in the country after the bowl games…

9. 2013 Premeditated attack on Ohio State’s smallest player-

I don’t care what anybody says, last years game contained an organized attack on a spunky Ohio State freshmen.

After some pregame trash talk, the first time Ohio State frosh Dontre Wilson touched the ball the Michigan hoodlums did this…

The scuffle lead to Dontre and senior offensive lineman Marcus Hall getting ejected with no Michigan penalites….

8. Desmond Howard-

Turd.

7.  Taylor Lewan-

Not only did he knock out an Ohio State fan after last years game… Seriously

But he’s the one who “allegedly” threatened to rape a girl who accused his roommate of sexual assault if she spoke to the cops… Super Seriously

He has denied the second allegation and how can you not believe a guy with such a great smile?

6. Kyle Kalis-

After decommitting from Ohio State after the Tat-Gate situation came to light (not a big deal) and receiving some nasty tweets from some white trash Buckeye fans (probably me) the lifelong Ohio State fan had this to say… LOL

When asked about the 2012 game between the Big Ten rivals, which will be played in Columbus.

“There will be blood on the field and it won’t be mine. … Quote it. Let them know.”

Kalis didn’t even see the field during the loss and is currently a big part of Michigan’s atrocious offensive issues.

5. 2003-

Not many Ohio State fans bring up this season (probably due to still being drunk from the previous National Title season) but Michigan cost Ohio State a shot at defending their national championship after defeating the Bucks the last week of the year.

Gross.

4. Brady Hoke still says Ohio-

That worm says it just to get under dumb people like myself’s skin.

And it works…

3. 2-10-1-

John Cooper is in the College Football hall of fame but is not remembered as one of the games best due to some pesky team from some smelly state.

How annoying

2. 58-45-6-

Even though the majority of Michigan’s victories over Ohio State occurred when Babe Ruth was in grade school, Ohio State still needs 13 more wins in a row to tie the once great program.

1. Trying to steal our loved one-

The University of Michigan had the audacity to offer Joey Bosa a scholarship…

Ohio State and Joey Bosa are perfect for each other and these snobs tried to intervene like a jealous ex girlfriend. Even though it didn’t work out for the jamokes, I will never forgive them for trying to ruin my everything.

They crossed the line and no amount of losing seasons will ever redeem the Michigan punks in my book.

I hope all Buckeye fans will get up with me Saturday at 6AM and start downing the hate juice (liquor) and remind themselves how truly disgusting and fun this rivalry is.

Bonus- I finally forced myself to watch the whole thing and was not disappointed. How long will you last?
