2010 Blogpoll Ballot, Week #15 (Draft)

For some reason, the Blogpoll site hates me and every Sunday when I log in to enter my weekly Blogpoll ballot, it’s a crap shoot whether I’m goint to be able to access my ballot or not. Hence my late ballots posts each week.

Not much change here, I’ve shuffled a couple teams to reflect their championship game outcomes and I replaced West Virginia with UConn as the Big East entry and Northern Illinois with Miami (OH) after the Redskins victory over the Huskies. I didn’t hear any problems from last week, so I’m guessing these cosmetic changes won’t get anyone’s dander up.

If it does, feel free to express the danderage in the comments.

2010 Blogpoll Ballot, Week #14 (Draft)

In a bold move (not that it matters), I have ranked Wisconsin over TCU for this week’s BlogPoll ballot. My reasoning is this: At this point in the season, I propose that Wisconsin is the better team. Yes, they have a loss. It was to a Top 10 team in Michigan State. But they’ve looked unstoppable since. Wisconsin has a win over a Top 5 team (Ohio State) and has absolutely decimated the competition since, averaging 67 points per game while giving up 23.7 over their last three games. TCU, on the other hand, doesn’t really have a marque victory to point to. Baylor is meh and victories over Oregon State and Utah don’t look as impressive as they did when they happened.

If things stand as they are, though, this won’t matter as they will most likely meet in the Rose Bowl and they can duke it out then.

Past that, I feel pretty good how this looks but I’m sure I’ve overlooked something. Please let me know in the comments.

BlogPoll Delayed

My Blogpoll ballot will be delayed until later this afternoon as unforeseen circumstances (read: The Walking Dead) conspired against me last night.

Better late than never. For some reason I couldn’t enter my ballot yesterday as per normal and couldn’t get it to work earlier today, either. But it’s finally made it.

I have once again flip-flopped TCU and Boise again. I’m like the John Kerry of the BlogPoll! I would also like to banish the Wisconsin Badgers and their douchelord coach from the rankings for 83 weeks, but I’m trying not to let personal bias interfere with the rankings.

I feel confident with 1-16 but after that, it’s somewhat of a crap shoot.

BlogPoll ballot behind schedule

I had a problem accessing my BlogPoll ballot, hence the draft ballot will be delayed until lunch time later this afternoon (technical difficulties). It should be up by then.

2010 Blogpoll Ballot, Week #11 (Draft)

I’m waffling with #3 and #4. One the one hand, BSU handled Hawai’i, the most prolific offense in D-1. On the other hand, we’ve got TCU’s convincing win over Utah, a supposed top 5 team. I personally think we’ve been overvaluing Utah.

I’ve been avoiding as long as I could, but I have to let Virginia Tech back into the BlogPoll. I will qualify every inclusion of the Hokie by reminding everyone that they lost to JAMES MADISON.

Everything else is more or less self-explanatory.

2010 Blogpoll Ballot, Week #8 (Final)

A little late with this one, but these contain a couple tweaks from the comments of the draft.

2010 Blogpoll Ballot, Week #8 (Draft)

Like it or not, I had to put my ballot together. Auburn takes my top spot because I think a 65 point explosion against a real team should count for something. The rest is up for debate. I decided to rank Rutgers out of respect for Eric LeGrand’s absolutely horrific injury..
