Like it or not, I had to put my ballot together. Auburn takes my top spot because I think a 65 point explosion against a real team should count for something. The rest is up for debate. I decided to rank Rutgers out of respect for Eric LeGrand’s absolutely horrific injury..
I think you should have #s 1-6 all tied for second and no one in first.
I like that you have Auburn #1, for what games have actually been played this season, they deserve that.
I don’t get Oregon though, they haven’t beaten a bunch of teams that have beaten a bunch of teams? What is the reasoning here?
I’ll second Auburn… they remind me of (shudder) Florida in 2006. Not much hype, but all of the sudden, there they are at the end of the season.
I think I understand what you’re doing with Missouri (undefeateds get extra love), but I disagree that they’re better than about half of the teams between them and #20.
Also, IMO, OSU losing to a tough ranked Wisco team, on the road, at night, is way better than Nebraska crapping the bed at home against the worst Texas offense in history (let alone their terrible performance against a I-AA team earlier this season). I’d move Bama into the Neb spot, and put OSU ahead of Nebraska. JMO.
@Brig – Oregon’s shellacking of Stanford has to count for something. It’s better than anyone else can claim behind them. Also, they’re approaching the killscreen of scoring, so they’ve got that going for them.
@monkey – Good call on Nebraska. I’m dropping them lower. Missouri does get the no loss love. They play Oklahoma this week, which means this shakes itself out by next week.
