Co-Stiff Arms of the Week

Michigan State received a healthy dose of the Stiff Arm of Justice and was introduced to the as-yet named Stiff Arm wielded by one Terrelle Pryor (of Grace? of Righteousness?). So this week we’re getting a two-fer for the coveted SAotW:

“Separation, Holmes”

Which do you prefer?

Comments

  1. I like the Stiff Arm of Righteousness, it goes along with the SAoJ and has a nice ring to it.

What a great game, gave me more hope for this weekend.

Pryor had another stiff arm that he did with his left hand and was a lot more lethal, how did that one not make the cut? I think it was in the fourth quarter.

  3. The stiff arms employed by Pryor and Beanie are things of beauty. I’ve always wondered why more running backs don’t use it as much as Beanie does.

I feel sorry for all those defenders eating grass, I mean, how can you tackle the guy? Jump under him and he’ll jump over you, go up high and he’ll throw you down to the ground head first, hit him at the waist and he’ll knock you silly…

Stiff arm of Rigteousness is good, but might be a little long. Stiff Arm of Humiliation?

  4. “Which do you prefer?”

Both are equally satisfying. I hope this attitude carries over to the O-line, and the D keeps getting nastier, for this Saturday night.

Both are nice but I like Pryor’s more simply due to the fact that thanks to the angle the defender had (who also looks like a pop warner player compared to LiC) Pryor was able to just drive him into the ground and leave him in his wake.

  6. Beanie’s is cearly better. Pryor’s guy was already diving….but Beanie’s guy is actually being pushed backwards. Not to metion that Beanie’s has an undeniable resemblance to a certain bronze statue.

That said……if the discussions were about who has a better stiff arm just show how great we have it as Ohio State fans.

  7. “Not to metion that Beanie’s has an undeniable resemblance to a certain bronze statue.”

    I can’t believe I didn’t notice that, but you’re right, it does!

  8. DublinSaab says

Maybe we can get past all the talk about being 3 yards and a cloud of dust and move on to being known for 13 yards and a wounded defender.

  9. Beanie! That poor guy thought he was gonna tackle Beanie… Wrong!

  10. Stiff arm of vindication.

In other thoughts, The leg juke should be known as the ankle breaker.
