2008 BlogPoll Ballot, Week #5

As you may have heard, the BlogPoll is movin’ on up (to THE top) and will be prominently featured on a real-life Sports Site. I’m sure Brian will post the details on his site, so I’ll leave the particulars to him. But going legit means our ballots have to be in sooner, hence you’re seeing this Monday morning instead of sometime late on Tuesday. Enjoy.

Oh how the mighty have fallen. Having already suffered our own personal disappointment two weeks ago, it’s good to have company. Add our optimism to everyone else’s pain and it’s a great feeling.

As always, make fun of us in the comments.

Comments

  1. Yes, BYU and Texas Tech could hang with Ohio State….puuuh-leeease!

I realize you have to take your heart out of it, but how does OSU go down on a win?

  2. How can UF stay above the Bucks? They got beat in the Swamp by an unranked opponent. At least we got beat by the #1 team in the country in their house, regardless of how poorly we played that night.

  3. I think some of the small probs in the poll would be fixed if I had cast my ballot… I didn’t get el Kaiser’s new deadline in time & didn’t cast one.

If I had, I swear that I was planning to put USC at 25 (at least for this week). No excuse for choking against a fourth unranked team. They probably would have gone up to around 10 the following week (with a win), but between only having three games total, two bye weeks, and having a crappy OrSt team school them for four complete quarters (it wasn’t a fluke), no way do they deserve top-ten talk. I’d make them earn their way back.

    Same w/ Florida.

OSU – I would have placed 10th, I think (ahead of TexasTech). I don’t agree with everyone that’s buying into the Texas Tech juggernaut – yet. They’ve played against four crappy, crappy teams, and came out of them with the nation’s 61st ranked defense. No way a team has that bad of a defense against four of the nation’s worst teams and deserves a spot in the top-10.

  4. guys you wont find any bigger homers than us guys here at MOTSAG….. but lol

The Buckeyes cant be ranked higher than USC until USC loses again IMO. and the gators well there loss was bad but I cant help but remember how bad UF beat us and to say right now we are better than UF I would have a hard time doing that based off of all of OSU games this year.

The polls will work themselves out. The Buckeyes will start playing better teams and getting better wins hopefully. Lets see how we do at Wisky this week before I declare the Buckeyes back in the Top 10.

And for TT I ranked them high based on USA today and AP polls having them that high and me not being able to see any of thier games.

To you BYU haters ….. keep hating and they will keep winning and eventually end up in a BCS bowl game I predict and I also say they will beat whoever that team is easily…. The team has a very good defense and thier offense is not a gimic offense it has both great riunning game and passing game.
