Dropped Out: Clemson (#16).

A couple thoughts:

I don’t know how Va. Tech bubbled so up so high, but this is a collaborative poll and a couple of the voters think highly of them. None of us are sold on Notre Dame yet, but their victory over Penn State was still impressive.

It’s obvious that things are still a big mess for the spots 5 to 25. A lot of great football this weekend will be clearing the picture a little. Enigmas abound.

I strongly believe you should be sending out all 4 of our top 25 to each of us or posting them on here as a comment. I am very curious as to how we all compare or how we differ.

  2. SYR… I was thinking similarly… but was wondering if a collaborative spreadsheet might be the answer? (a la Google Spreadsheets?)

I’ll hook up with elKaiser & brainstorm about it.

elKaiser: I was one of the ones who bumped up Va Tech big time… their last game was most impressive.

  3. What? Ohio State didn’t improve?! We kicked the crap out of the number two Texas (who fell 6 spots).

I say we should be ranked -4 or at least -2.

(That’s the trouble with being number 1, nowhere to go but down.)

Sportsmonkey…..A win over North Carolina is only impressive in MARCH during a final four tourney. In football its kind of like kissing your sister ……you dont want to do it but you strangely enjoyed it afterwards.

Bobster the problem with being No. 1 is there are too many who believe they deserve to be No. 2.

  5. Here’s the thing with Notre Dame that hurts: More than just NBC is caring about them again. I am appreciating that ESPN has already declared September 16th as Separation Saturday. Are they really that desperate to get viewers three weeks into the season? Not excited about playing the Bearcats (you should’ve stayed where you were Dantonio), but there shouldn’t be any problems, right 2002?

Looking forward to making some serious predictions about next week tomorrow…
