BOOM! Luke Farrell is a Buckeye!

After being down to a final four of Ohio State, Michigan State, Penn State, and Boston College, Luke Farrell has pulled the trigger to become a Buckeye. The 4-Star recruit from Perry, OH is the 19th commitment of this 2016 class, and joins Jake Hausmann becoming the 2nd TE.

Many expected an early commitment from Luke, but when that didn’t come, people thought he did not want to be the 2nd TE in this class. That was not the case, and relationships with TE coach Tim Hinton and Urban Meyer were too strong to say no. Also, a strong pitch in his recruitment was the proven duo of Jeff Heuerman and Nick Vannett. Look for Luke and Jake to fit the scheme, and complement each other nicely, very similar to Jeff and Nick.

I wouldn’t expect Luke to be the biggest recruiter, just because he is fairly shy, and not often on social media. But again, he will be a very solid player. He is a willing blocker, good route running TE, and will do whatever the coaches ask.
