download

Baltimore Ravens

John Simon (LB) (2009-12)- Recorded 1 total tackle in the Raven’s week 4 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Simon continues to see infrequent playing time. We’ll see as the season progresses if he’ll play much more. He is also still getting used to playing without his hand in the dirt.

Cincinnati Bengals

Mike Nugent (K) (2001-04)- Mike Nugent (K) (2001-04)- Went 2/2 on FG attempts in Cincinnati’s week 4 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Nugent was the only avenue of scoring the Bengals could go down. He had a long of 43.

Dane Sanzenbacher (WR) (2007-10)- Dane Sanzenbacher (WR) (2007-10)- Recorded 1 catch for 6 yards during Cincinnati’s week 4 loss to the Browns. He remains buried behind a talented receiving core led by A.J. Green, it is a positive sign Sanzenbacher was at least able to record a catch. We’ll see if it translates into any more opportunities

Houston Texans

Devier Posey (WR) (2008-11)- Didn’t record any statistics for the Texans in week 4 against the Seahawks. Posey continues to get stronger after his season ending achilles injury last season.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Mike Brewster (C) (2008-11)- Continues to be a back-up across multiple positions on the offensive line. Brewster has yet to start a game for Jacksonville this season but it wouldn’t be a bad idea for the Jaguars to start playing some of their younger players.

Denver Broncos

Justin Boren (G) (2009-10)- Didn’t record any statistics or playing time for the Broncos in week 4. It will be difficult for Boren to see any playing time unless the offensive line becomes decimated with injuries over the course of the season.

Miami Dolphins

Brian Hartline (WR) (2006-08)- Recorded 3 receptions for 34 yards on 4 targets in week 4 against the New Orleans Saints. Hartline continues to be one of Ryan Tannehill’s top targets. This Monday night clash was a battle of the unbeatens and Miami fell off the perch.

New England Patriots

Nate Ebner (DB) (2008-11)- Didn’t record any statistics in the Patriot’s week 4 victory over Atlanta. He continues to be a mainstay on special teams, especially the kick off team.

New York Jets

Santonio Holmes (WR) (2003-05)- Recorded 1 catch for 25 yards on 5 total targets from QB Geno Smith. The Jets were manhandled by the Titans and Holmes didn’t help out the cause by getting open.

Nick Mangold (C) (2002-05)- Started at Center for the Jets in week 4 against the Tennessee Titans. Mangold and the rest of his teammates really struggled along the offensive line. The Titans interior defensive line was successful at the point of attack.

Oakland Raiders

Terrelle Pryor (QB) (2008-10)- Didn’t record any statistics in week 4 against the Redskins. He was forced to sit out after suffering a concussion in week 3. The Raiders will continue to monitor Pryor’s progress and hopefully he can be cleared for week 5.

Chimdi Chekwa (CB) (2007-10)- Didn’t record any statistics in Oakland’s week 3 loss to the Denver Broncos. He continues to be a backup at the cornerback position. Chekwa was a scratch during week 2 but was ready to go in week 3. It will only take an injury at cornerback for Chekwa to see action.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Cameron Heyward (DE) (2007-10)- Recorded 1 pass deflection and no tackles in week 4 against the Vikings. Pass deflections have become a part of Heyward’s game as of late. Heyward continues to play behind Keisel but does see a decent amount a playing time.

Mike Adams (OT) (2008-11)- Started at Left Tackle for the Steelers in their week 4 loss to Minnesota. Adams struggled at times against DE Jared Allen. He gave up 2.5 sacks.

Dallas Cowboys

Will Allen (SS) (2000-03)- Allen lost his starting job in week 3 to Georgia Southern rookie safety JJ Wilcox. Wilcox played well and it looks like he will be the starter moving forward. In week 4, Allen recorded 1 tackle and the Cowboys lost to the San Diego Chargers. The defense gave up 20 straight points to end the game.

Carolina Panthers

Ted Ginn Jr. (WR) (2004-2006)- The Carolina Panthers bye was in week 4. They will pick up play again in week 5.

Ben Hartsock (TE) (1999-03)- The Carolina Panthers bye was in week 4. They will pick up play again in week 5.

Detroit Lions

Rob Sims (OL) (2002-05)- Started at LG for the Lions in week 4 against the Chicago Bears. Sims will continue to start at LG unless he suffers an injury. The Lions averaged over 5 yards a carry with Sims paving the way.

Green Bay Packers

A.J. Hawk (LB) (2002-05)- The Green Bay Packers bye was in week 4. They will pick up play again in week 5.

Ryan Pickett (DT) (1998-00)- The Green Bay Packers bye was in week 4. They will pick up play again in week 5.

New Orleans Saints

Malcolm Jenkins (CB) (2005-08)- Recorded 7 total tackles and 1 tackle for loss in the Saints week 4 victory over the Miami Dolphins. Jenkins is arguably the Saints most valuable defensive player on the roster. His ability to play all over the field is a huge asset for the Saints.

Will Smith (DE) (2000-03)- Placed on injured reserve (IR) for the remainder of the year. Smith injured his ACL back in August.

New York Giants

Jim Cordle (C) (2007-09)- Recorded his first career start for the New York Giants in week 4. In the preseason, it looked as if Cordle was going to have a chance to start but it didn’t end up that way. I think if the Giants continue to struggle, Cordle and some other younger guys will continue to get worked into the lineup and on the field.

Johnathan Hankins (DT) (2010-12)- Didn’t record any statistics in Week 4 for the Giants. Hankins was inactive.

Philadelphia Eagles

Kurt Coleman (DB) (2006-09)- Didn’t record any statistics in the Eagles week 4 loss to the Broncos. Simply put, Manning torched the Eagles secondary to the tune of 327 passing yards with 4 touchdowns. The Eagles are really struggling after getting a week 1 victory.

Washington Redskins

Doug Worthington (DE) (2007-09)- Has been placed on the IR (bicep) for the remainder of the year.

St. Louis Rams

James Laurinaitis (LB) (2005-09)- Recorded 12 total tackles in the week 4 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. As a whole, the Rams defense wasn’t very good against San Francisco. Their offense didn’t help at all and continually left the Rams defense in bad situations.

Jake McQuaide (LS) (2008-10)- Starting long snapper for the Rams in Week 4. The Rams only scored 11 points so McQuaide only got to snap on 1 field goal.

San Francisco 49ers

Donte Whitner (DB) (2003-05)- Recorded 1 interception, 3 total tackles and 1 pass deflection in the week 4 victory over the Rams. The 49ers bounced back in a big way and the defense was dominant by only giving up 11 points.

Alex Boone (G) (2005-08)- Started at guard for San Francisco in Week 4 against St. Louis. The team rushed for 219 yards and Boone was a big reason why. He helped open up running lanes for the backs.
