I recently had the honor of speaking with 2015 Defensive End, Rashod Berry from Lorain, Ohio. Berry currently weights in at 215 lbs and is 6″4. He has a very quick outside rush move but needs to work on his run stopping abilities. He is continuing to grow and was said to be one of the most impressive ends at any of the Ohio State Camps all summer. Berry has a good chance of earning a Buckeye offer and would not be surprised to see this superb athlete wearing the Scarlet and Gray when its all said and done. Berry is not currently ranked by any site, however I expect this to change soon.
Q: When did Ohio State first make contact with you, and how did it feel?
A: The end of last season and it felt great, I was extremely excited!
Q: Who is your primary recruiter and how often do you speak?
A: Coach Vrabel, We don’t speak a whole lot but they have shown me how bad they want me when i attended their camps.
Q: What about Ohio State makes you strongly consider them?
A: The coaching staff is amazing and know how to get players to the league, also the campus is pretty cool.
Q: What about your game do you think sets you apart from everyone else?
A: I work extremely hard. I think I am more athletic than most defensive ends, also my speed and technique is different than most ends.
Q: What do you feel you need to work on the most this season?
A: Definitely becoming faster, stronger and getting off the line quicker.
Q: Which schools are recruiting you the hardest?
A: Ohio State, Toledo, Bowling Green
Q: Do you plan on making a visit to OSU anytime soon?
A:No sir not as of now
Q: What are some of your other hobbies besides football?
A: Hanging out with friends and playing basketball
