I recently got to know a young recruit from Toledo, Ohio via Ann Arbor, TSUN by the name of Charles Carter Jr. The 6’1″ 178 pound HS Sr. to be moved to Toledo after his Sophomore year. Charles has been in constant contact with Coach Coombs who is his lead recruiter for Ohio State. He is working hard to get his offer from OSU and will need to have a great SR. season for it will come into fruition.

SYR- If you could please tell us about your home life… Parents, brothers and/or sisters, where you were born, Have you always lived in in the same place?

Charles- My name is Charles carter Jr I live with my dad Charles carter Sr and my step mom Kelly Jones and my mom Brandi Shelby lives in Jax FL with my two little brothers I was born in Ann Arbor Michigan and I moved to Toledo, Ohio junior year.

SYR- Can you give us your current stats such as height, weight, 40 yard time, bench press, etc?

Charles- 6″1 178 40 4.46 bench 250

SYR- Tell us a little bit about your HS FB team such as record and defensive and offensive style.

Charles- We went 6-4 last year we run a no huddle offense and a primary 4-3 cover 1 defense.

SYR- What are your goals for the upcoming season?

Charles- I told bcsn I wanted 2000 all purpose yards and to make it deep into the playoffs.

SYR- What college football team did you grow up being a fan of and why?

Charles- UofM Because I grew up in Ann Arbor.

SYR- Who would you say is your personal hero and why?

Charles- Charles Woodson just because of the fact that he’s my favorite football player of all time.

SYR- If you were going to die tomorrow what would your final meal be?

Charles- Steak and eggs

SYR- Do you have a top 5 schools list yet?

Charles- Purdue, OSU, UofM, BGSU, and MSU

SYR- Do you have a leader if yes who?

Charles- My dad because he made it threw a lot of adversity in his life and he raised me to be a strong individual.

SYR- When do you plan on visiting Ohio State next?

Charles- I haven’t set up an official visit yet but most likely after my first game.

SYR- How often do you hear from OSU and who is your lead recruiter?

Charles- A lot actually and Kerry Coombs.

SYR- Has OSU told you what you need to do to get an offer from them?

Charles- My A.C.T., and add some weight to myself, they have me a meal plan.

SYR- Do you have a dream school that if they offered you would commit on the spot?

Charles- Yes that pretty much how I am with OSU ever since Troy Smith and Ted Ginn Jr. went there I have been in love.

SYR- Do you know when you would like to announce your commitment, if yes, when?

Charles- I would like to commit sometime around my grandmothers birthday October 29th.

SYR- What would you like Buckeye Nation to know about you that they most likely don’t already know?

Charles- I’m doing everything in my power during the school year and off-season to be up there next spring.
