5 Responses to “Michigan By The Numbers”
Every stat says this game should be a blowout OSU win, and I think it probably will be, but I can’t escape the feeling that if Michigan can avoid turnovers, this game might be far closer than it should be.

Sweet Jesus, I knew it was lopsided…I didn’t know it was THIS lopsided.
By Jeff at FOX Sports Ohio on Nov 24, 2010
@Peter – This game is going to be closer than people think for a little while, I just don’t think the Michigan defense can put up enough resistance over four quarters to keep it that way. Numbers are one thing, emotional rivalries (where the seniors have never won) is another thing all together.
@Jeff – It was wasn’t for that pesky sacks vs. sacks allowed stat, Ohio State would have swept (or tied) all the categories. On paper this game should be all one-sided.

Now, if we can convert these stats into real, live scores…
El Kaiser, good point about emotional level (seniors that have never one, but I think this can play out the other way, too. Seniors that have never lost. We have some serious bowl implications riding on this, as well as share of Conference championship.
