MotSaG up for coveted BQ

Blog/site newsbq.jpgThe 2006 College Football Blog Awards are out, and we’re honored to be nominated for the Brady Quinn Award.

The Brady Quinn Award
FOR: The prettiest blog, the best layout and design.

CRITERIA: An aesthetic appeal, whether from a stylish banner, a pleasing layout, or an eye-catching incorporation of blog technology.

So, what is it? Is it our banner, featuring the first five Heisman winners from OSU? (Side note: update is in progress, obviously…) Our attractive Google ads? Is it our stylish scarlet and gray (okay, white) colors? Is it our well-stocked sidebar? Our classy yet non-intrusive Google ads? Is it our soft gray image borders, bringing out the rugged handsomeness in Brady Quinn’s dark eyes above? Our buckeye leaf icons? Our Google ads?

Other nominees for the 2006 BQ include another Buckeye site, and one each from Texas, Tennessee, and USC:
Buckeye Commentary
Bevo Sports
Rocky Top Talk
Trojan Wire

If you run a blog, head on over and cast your vote!

And in case we don’t say it enough, thanks for stopping by Men of the Scarlet and Gray.

  1. Congrats guys! I heard there’s a growing write-in movement behind this blog, but I’m hoping you or Keith bring it home.

  2. Baby Jeezus says

    Lmao…BQ award– Nice!!

  3. Jason – MY EYES!! THE GOGGLES DO NOTHING!!

  4. Maybe it’s just me, but Mgoblog sure has nominated themselves for a lot of awards, haven’t they????

  5. Hey, guys. Congrats. Just wanted to clarify that nobody was allowed to nominate themselves. Brian was nominated for a bunch of stuff, but didn’t nominate himself for anything. It just stinks for the rest of us that he’s so good.

By the way, great game this afternoon. Y’all got a monster in that Oden dude. Still, we almost had you, but you hit the clincher, so congratulations on that as well.

  6. Thanks, Rocky… you run a pretty good site over there over at RTT, too. Keep up the good work.

Yeah, the Bucks pulled a squeaker out today; I think Tenn played with a little more “oomph,” but in the end, Oden was a little too big under the basket. IMO, OSU still has a long way to go, though, if it wants to be ready for the talent they’ll face in March.
