Lllloyd Carr deathwatch

OSU FootballIt is quite satisfying for us Buckeye fans to see the desperate state of affairs in which UM fans find themselves now. The fans of the Maize and Blue are grabbing at straws, trying to find anything negative about tOSU to report… even if it means going back 30 years to do so.

It must be frustrating to keep losing to ol’ Sweater Vest, but posting videos of “the punch” or reporting on the items you found while digging through Clarett’s garbage can (“his underwear has racing stripes!!!eleventyone!!”) isn’t going to inspire your team to victory.

With that, MotSaG is starting a new tradition: The Lllloyd Carr Deathwatch.

Lllloyd

It’s no secret that this is a make-or-break season for Lllloyd. Fan-based loyalties aside, it’s a shame to see Carr’s stock falling. Believe it or not, we here at MotSaG hope UM never fires him – for the same reason UM fans wanted to keep Cooper around. It’s fun beating him.

As the season draws near, we’ll have plenty of analysis on UM football (and Big Te(leve)n football in general). But in the meantime, we’ll try to keep you posted on news and information that could lead to the Cooper-clone’s firing. Stay tuned.

  1. Hey, Wolverine fan in enemy territory here. Thank God somebody(even a buckeye) is echoing something I’ve been saying for a while now. I’ve often joked about Lloyd receiving the John Cooper Lifetime Achievement Award(for consistent failure to defeat an archrival). I guess all the bad karma we built up from the late 80’s to 2000 has finally caught up with us, huh? Seriously, this guy has had so much talent at his disposal, and what do us UM fans have to show for it? Sure, the 97 title was nice, but since then it’s been a slew of disappointing seasons, one after another. I’m already dreading the trainwreck in the Rose Bowl, when they drop the game to a clearly outgunned USC team. LLoyd coaches not to lose, Jim coaches to win. That’s why the Buckeyes will pocket 1 or 2 more trophies before Jim leaves, and all Michigan will get is the occasional cremation of an overrated Notre Dame squad, and a hefty therapy bill following week 12, and the now annual OSU meltdown. At least we have another month or so after that to brace ourselves for the bowl loss to end the season. OK, I’m done venting now. Goodnight, and GO BLUE.
